My truck is supposed to be ordered today by the fleet manager. How do you get a build date for the truck? The fleet guy told me a minimum of 6 weeks/maximum of 8 weeks to build the truck. I always hear discussion about build dates. Do you get this from the guy that orders the truck or can you get it by calling FORD? Let me know what you think. Thanks.
The real question is, does anyone really want to call Ford customer service??????. Try www.fordfleet.com and I think you can research your order there.

Doesnt seem to be much info there except how to order a 2001 ford.
Your dealer (all dealers) gets weekly updates from the factory. When your dealer places the order, your dealer will get a confirmation from the factory saying they got the order. It will take the factory a few weeks to spit out a projected build date. Check with your dealer because he will get this info in his weekly updates. After he gets a ship date, expect to see your new truck a week to 10 days.
