How to program new key?
I replaced the ignition cylinder on a 00 or 01 model f150 and now it won't start and the theft light blinks, is there a way I can program the new key or does the dealer have to do that?

There is a pickup coil inside the column around the ignition cylinder... It is looking for the matching key... Even tho you have a NEW key in the lock, you can take the old key and hold real close to the lock, ( or remove the coil and tape the old key inside it) if you need to move the vehicle and cant get it started with the NEW key.
