Transmission problem

I can shift it down into reverse neutral drive 1st and second. But when I try to go back up with the shifter the shifter is smooth. Like it's not pulling the shift lever on the transmission. I can also shift the lever on the transmission by hand. But when I try to shift it back up out of any other gear it doesnt catch. Thinking it's a problem with shift cable. It has me bummed. Can anyone help?

Tighten the T30 screws down low on the column.

Ford should of put lock-tite on those bolts.Adding some is a very good idea.

they were tight already, I got to looking and it was the detent cable. Which isnt made OEM anymore. And since most ford parts are under patent and you cant order the OEM parts because they discontinued them after so long for some trucks. the ones that you can order are a little shorter so instead of running it back around the steering column I just ran it straight down and everything is fine now.
