Fired up the 6.7 the other morning to deliver the young man to school, felt a little sluggish...I chocked it up to the cool morning, and an overnight cold soak...surely my full range of neck-breaking power will return after the rig is properly warmed. Nope. Wouldn't down shift (kick down for passing), won't build more than 20 psi boost pressure, pedal to the floor and nothing...it's protecting itself for some reason. No codes, no cel/mil...nothing. Took it down to the dealer, they're backlogged, drove it after a few hours, ran fine, all the power. Kept it overnight for observation, next AM no power again. Still no codes cel/mil. Apparently it was throwing a sub code of some type, something leading the tech to believe there is a broken wire somewhere in the system, but would not trigger the check engine light. They have a note into ford, and hope to get back after it tomorrow. Advisor tried to tell me it is probably a mouse chewing on a wire (not under warranty)...which is as close to an impossibility as there ever has been based on the overnight accommodations for the truck, and how much it is moving. This is the originating dealer, good group, didn't appreciate that comment though. For the time being I am driving a Focus...and for the record, a 66" atv plow will fit in a Focus, In case anyone needs to know.

More to come as I hear it.
Wrere you low on dpf fluid? Maybe level is low, and it froze, so the truck thought you were lower than you actually were. If not, I’m betting dpf sensor. Drive it for a good hour somewhere. Maybe the filter message isn’t coming up.
Mine did the same at extreme cold temperature engine light went off and had a message in the dash to reduce speed truck wouldn’t go faster than 30km/h managed to drive it to dealership tht was only couple km away and finally it was a turbo sensor
I can't wait to see what they find. I have had this issue a few times with my 2018 xlt. Every so often in the morning it is slower than heck but when I run it in the afternoon it has all the power in the world. It seems to be on the really cold mornings and I am trying a new fuel additive to see if it helps and I haven't had it come back yet but would be nice to see what the dealer comes up with.
Dealer can't find anything wrong, big blue oval dialed in, nothing to contribute. New dialectic grease on 2 hours worth of connections, checked all the usual suspects, tech put 100 miles on today. Truck ran fine after having been in the shop (warm). Will sleep outside tonight and see if the issue returns...it did after the last cold soak. It'll be 8F overnight, if cold does it, we'll know tomorrow AM. More to come...again.
It happened to me twice. No check engine either. I just stopped somewhere safe , turn it off and on again and voila , full power available. On both occasions it was very cold , but it's been cold a lot this year so im not ready to blame that on the cold. Seen like a computer/electronic issue because a restart cured my problem. If it was mechanical it would have changed nothing.

Thanks for the share, I've had that issue with the cross traffic alert...all the errors and lights telling me it's experiencing a system fault. Restart fixes it each time. Here's to hoping it starts and runs fine this morning...I think? Plenty of computers working in these trucks, especially the diesels, shut it down and restart...tried and true IT go-to. Update to come.
