Whats up guys, I’m looking into purchasing this 2001 EX V10 4x4 with 135k miles. The dealer wants 8500.
I test drove it and noticed it wandered some but that was it. The exterior is rhino lined and is peeling from the fender well and hood, it’s missing a vent and some other interior pieces and the weather stripping on the driver side door is missing so it’s showing daylight when closed. The Transmission pan also had a small drip.
I agree with above sentiment. That is not an EX I would want to even look at...because of the rhino lining, missing vent, lift kit and the dripping trans pan. Bumper, roof rack and wheels are worth more than the rest of the truck.
I agree with the other guys above, if that's the type rig you really want, buy a stock one and do the mods yourself. That way YOU have the opportunity to do things correctly and you will know exactly what you have.
Appreciate the input, I thought the same about the rhino lining hiding possible damage or rust. Looks like I’m going to have source one out of state and unmolested if possible but even in decent condition people are proud of the EX so I’m running into a lot of them being overvalued.
And now you know why the nice ones demand a premium. I would skip that one completely. Ive seen rhino lined vehicles and they look like they are hiding problems as well as looking junky!
Are you sure its a V10? Never seen that style of mirrors on one (stock?), so if it were me, I'd be looking under the hood. Wouldn't touch a 5.4 EX for that price in any condition.

My V-10 EX came with those cute little dog ear mirrors, first thing I fixed!
