Hello and good morning, before I head out this week for family vacation I have been looking at a few Excursions around the area for possible purchase in the near future. One that I did come across is a 2000 Excursion 4x4 Limited edition with 190k miles on V10 motor. I have owned 2 other Excursions one being 6.0 and one V10 100k miles. Unfortunate I sold both but I plan to get this one so my wife can drive it and I get my truck back.
Honestly at the price I'm not expecting anything pretty but it looks decent from the photos and the owner is going to send me more. I can tell the paint needs some refreshing possible oxidation from California sun but if it runs good and the 4x4 works I think for $3500 obo is a steal. Sure I will need to check over lots of other stuff like suspension, front end parts, transmission, etc.. I just thought to get some of your opinions on this? I'm not sold but might go look at it this coming weekend so your opinions and thoughts are appreciated.
These trucks are getting harder and harder to find so my plan would be to keep this one for long time if not forever! I don't mind that if I need to rebuild or drop another V10 into down the road. I'm really just curious since I know the V10 is or has been solid motor if at 190k miles should I be worried?
Here are a couple photos of outside and like I said paint doesn't look the cleanest and either dirty or oxidized. Hard to tell??.....Leaning towards defiantly dirty since bumper looks like the paint job!! LOL

Looks nice but for 3500 I imagine there's something decently wrong with it. My family had been looking for excursions also, right now we have three rigs, my super duty, my moms Yukon xl, and our companies ram, she wants to sell her Yukon and the ram to get an excursion but we only want a 7.3, we don't want to spend the gas money with a v10 and she feels that the 5.4 isn't enough power (however I have it and it is very underrated) but who doesn't want a 7.3 anyways, there bad ***. Right now I'm in sac and been looking here for some and seen some really nice ones, since you said it was Cali where are you at? I've seen some good deals on really nice excursions in sac if you want the hookup lol.

Even if I can spend the cash I'm looking to stay under $5k and sure it might not get me something pretty but I'm not gonna spend my entire tax return on it. I'm in Orange County (Seal Beach) to be exact but in Big Bear right now until end of week. I shouldn't even be posting on here lol but half way into our family trip I went through withdrawl lol.
Edit, Just realized it is a 2000, this will have the least amount of power for a V10 Excursion. Do you know what gear ratio it has or any interior shots, service history?
$1500 can go quick with just front end work. Springs down the road, engine tune up maintenance.

Lol I'm on a family trip myself, leaving today though. Sad to leave but at the same time can't wait to go home and start up my truck! And makes sense if you want to stay pretty cheap. Tbh the 5.4l is gonna do just fine for that truck if she's not doing any hauling.
