77 f250. Replacing iginition and door locks started removing the driver door lock and there is a plastic piece that connects the lock to a rod that actuated the lock.
Being 42 years old it broke...it’s the part that pushes the rough the hole in the arm to keep it connected.
Anyone sell these? Or have a hack to make it work? Is there a tool I should use to prevent breaking the passenger one?
Go to the local yards and start checking out later model Ford CARS and trucks. These are pretty universal. They can be re-used. Just take care when removing them. They pop out with a little tension applied.

Reason: Additional info
Easily available at an auto parts store in the Help section. As an emergency fix, you can wrap a twist tie around the rod and around the lever arm, will hold it for a few years while you find a replacement.

I had the NAPA variety in my tailgate handle and they would pop out of the mounting holes periodically.
i just installed new ones from Dennis Carpenter this weekend. They were much more substantial than the Napa ones and seemed more secure in the holes. Time will tell how they hold up.
