door lock

My door lock is missing the little bar that goes from the lock to the door latch it is about 2-3 inchs ideas where to get one or how to make one

The rod itself or one of the clips that retain the ends ?? Which side are you working on ??

Its the rod and the retainer clips that are missing completely
