Anyone have any experience with AMP's bed steps? Considering installing on my 450 but was a little worried about the possibility of drilling required to install. Any insights/comments on these steps would be appreciated, thanks in advance
Not sure if you're looking for the ones that mount by the bumper or these that mount on the side. Anyway, I really like these. They are pretty sturdy and really help when trying to reach into the bed. Full disclosure: I didn't install them though. My installation duties are limited, although I did install a new 18 pack in the fridge last week.
I have the one at the rear bumper and it is perfect for when I need to climb in the truck bed. Much more convenient than the Ford step. It can be used with the trailer attached either bumper hitch or gooseneck.
Installed these on my last truck 14 f250 sclb. at that time there was no drilling required. The only time i used them was getting to the boat while launching. awesome for not getting my feet wet but to far forward to get into my tool box.
