My 99.5 F350 is sagging in the rear and is over exaggerated when I tow. My 03 250 tolerated tongue weight much better than my 350. It has a 4” procomp lift that was installed by the previous owner.I recently installed the Bradford flatbed and the extra weight of the bed has made it even more prominent when I’m not even towing. My dilemma is I don’t know if what I have is factory springs with a block or 4” lift springs or whatever. Also I’m trying to decide weather to just add the rid rite air bags or the bags and new springs or just springs? Looking for advice. I wouldn’t mind a small amount of rake since I tow a lot. Thanks
I don't personally have the bags but I've heard that by adding the bags it gives you the firmness and ride height needed when towing but when empty it gives you a softer smoother ride.
I have timbrens and they work pretty well. Unloaded i have good ride quality because they aren't engaged but then when towing or weight in the bed (slide in camper) it keeps the truck level and rides like airbags would. Don't have to worry about air leaking or adding air all the time. Just install and done.

I have Ride Rite bags and an Air Lift auto ride height controller in mine. It is rougher than stock with no load on them. You have to maintain 5psi in the system...and it's just not as smooth as without. That said I just ordered a pallet full of stuff from ATS. Went from 3000lbs rears to 3300 and the factory overload. Even though I have the air bags, I want some safety margin should a air line pop or bag blow out....which I have had happen. Also, if there is some moisture in the system, it can freeze and not air up.
Looks like a 1" block on top of the factory block and what appears as stock springs. I have stock springs, 250 blocks and airlift bags that have an internal snubber so they can be run at 0psi. I like the bags because they don't affect the soft ride unloaded but can be aired up to whatever load you carry. I've run them at 80psi for heavy loads and normally run 40 with the 5th wheel.
New stock rated springs, airlift bags at 0 psi unloaded, new bilstein shocks makes my truck ride well unloaded and at proper height when payload applied to the truck.
You could get new upgraded springs, new OEM springs or any myriad of options to get the truck back to proper height.
So is the consensus to just leave my leafs as they are and install the bags or should I correct the ride height with springs first for the unloaded ride height I want and add the bags to make it ride level when towing? I think a add a leaf would correct the ride height but I tow a 30 ft gooseneck with a front end loader regularly that’s pretty tongue heavy and would like the bags for keeping the truck right.
As far as an upgraded spring what do y’all recommend and I’m assuming the upgrade would be an additional leaf in the pack making for a higher load rating
That's the rub with leveling a truck made for towing. IMO, if you tow, leave the leveling kits off and for that matter, lift kits in general. Just my .02.
