This stuff is specifically made for this purpose. Easy to apply, not a permanent or destructive mod like welding, and that adapter is NOT coming back off without the assistance of a propane torch.
Ray, I’m totally messed up. I’ve got two sets of HF digital Calipers: my old trusty ones and a newly purchased one. After the measurement boondoggle I took one digital caliper back to HF and traded it for a different one. Got the new one home measured my King Pin bushing and King Pin and there was .003 difference.
So I measured my spindle. I still get my spindle is larger than the ID of the adapter.
Soo I decided to bite the bullet and drive out to the shop and get my old HF Digital caliper. Same issue
I know I’m not a machinist but with the adapter spinning on the spindle there’s no way the spindle is larger than the ID of the adapter.
The adapters read 1.3805 &1.3070 spindle reads 1.3120 & 1.3125
When read in fractions both the ID of the Adapters and the Spindles all read 1 5/16”

In mm the adapters read 33.21 & 33.26 and spindles read 33.34 & 33.38
I think I’m just going to get some LocTite bearing set and call it a day, my head is hurting trying to figure this out.
