Saginaw pump conversion questions
Hi guys, I have an early 99 7.3 and I am in the process of converting to a saginaw power steering pump and remote reservoir. My question is does anybody know definitively what size the ports are on the hydroboost? My research shows 18mm for the pressure line and 16mm from the hydroboost to gearbox. Still unsure of the return line from the booster to the pump as well. I will be putting on all AN fitting adapters. Has anybody else tackled this job that could shed some light? I want to know also if it is necessary to put bigger lines going from the booster to the gearbox, gearbox to cooler. I have heard on other forums that the cooler may restrict flow and cause the system to not perform up to its potential. Thanks.
