Swapping mirrors

Are heated mirrors plug and play on a truck which did not have them initially? What circuit/switch turns them on? My truck doesn't have rear window defrost OR heated mirrors and I would like to add heated mirrors.

It depends on if the wiring is there or not. Do you have the defrost or heated mirror button on your climate control center stack? If not, even if it is just plug and play, you do not have a way of turning them on without that button.

Smile Swapping Mirrors

Hey!,
Just recently did a swap! Worked out PERFECT!!!! Mine was on 2010 F150 Base Model.... Some-one also pasted link in reply.... ALL I NEEDED TO DO WAS:
1, Get a set of mirrors from E-Bay, They arrived from Amazon and even BETTER! (They had the Puddle Lights) Not sure of why of mix up......
2, Buy a used Heater Control Module,
3, Plug everything in, All functions work!!!
TOTAL COST CANADIAN DOLLARS : $225.00

Good Luck,

Old / New Module NOTE: New Module heated Mirror Button
