Mirror options?

I have a stock 07 XL. I love the truck, except for the mirrors. I can't figure out what mirrors I can put on it to replace the lame ones that are on it now. I don't need signals, heat, or power adjustment. I just want bigger mirrors that can fold back without losing their adjustment. Kind of like the ones in the picture below. Too bad those won't fit.

I found this blurb in my F150 brochure:

"Sideview mirrors - Manual glass/telescoping trailer tow (late availability)"

They are optional for the XL. I'll look into these somehow, and the Schefenackers you mentioned.

Thanks!

These would work but I can't tell if they are powered/heated/super-expensive:

I just checked out those Schefenacker mirrors. I think the model 2100 might be just the right thing for me.

By chance, is an XL pre-wired for signals? I heard a lot of stuff is pre-wired to save money and they just don't hook stuff up. Like the cruise control is in all F150s but you have to have the cruise control wheel to make it work.

Just wondering. Lights would be kinda cool.

Four posts in a row. I suppose all that caffeine wasn't a good idea.

After reading this article the solution is painfully obvious. I ordered a set just now. I hope $350 plus free delivery is a reasonable price.

Many thanks to irishammer for mentioning the brand. Even if I had known it, I would never have been able to spell it.

Now I gotta find something for the wife to offset this purchase. Hmm...

Fedex says they'll be here Friday.

Fortunately, I'm very familiar with the door internals, since I installed Jimmi Jammers last week, so they should pop on in a few minutes.

I'll post some pictures when it is all done. My truck is pretty plain but I think the mirrors will spruce it up a bit.

I mounted the mirrors today. They went on very easily. The old ones are 4.6lb each. The new ones are 9.9lb each. The view is incredible. They fold to the front and the rear. They do stick out a lot farther and that is going to take some time to get used to. Right now I keep running into them as I walk around the truck.

I'll post pictures in a second.
