Hi everyone! Not new to this site or ford truck, just posting. I just picked up my 18 F150 5.0 Supercrew 6.5' bed back in september. Im researching exhausts and I stumbled upon diamond eye performance. My 93 Bronco (5.8) had Flowmaster, 95 F150 (5.8) had Magnaflow and my 07 F150 (5.4) had MBRP. Has anyone ever heard to them? Are they any good? At 400 bucks for a SS exhaust system seems like a steal. Granted its 409 vs 304 and its not all fancy and polished.

If price is the determining factor for you, then by all means, jump on this because it’s a good price for a SS exhaust system. However, you must be prepared to accept and live with the drawbacks of this system because more than likely, it’s going to have some serious drone not to mention the sound might be something that’s not pleasing to your ear.
Remember, one gets what they pay for in an exhaust system and the better brands use higher quality SS not to mention being better engineered for fitmnet and sound.
I prefer and have the Borla Touring system on my 2016 5.0 F150.
I had a Diamond Eye on my very different 2001 am diesel. It was a well built exhaust and sound was good with no drone. Of course this may vary on your truck but my experience was a good one.
Not sure on Diamond Eye but look on E-Bay and see if it's the same thing that's for sale there. I paid a $329 and I think they are cheaper now. All Stainless. Mine came with a 40 Series Flowmaster that looked way to short for me. I bought a 70 Series but could no longer use the supplied hook mount that was included. no big deal. I did not like the clamps and bought new ones from Summit. They are the stepped ones, not just trying to squeeze the pipe like ones included. WAY BETTER.
As for noise I had to weld in a "auger" infront of the muffler pipe and pop riveted a different styled silencer in each tail pipe just before the stainless tip to make mine a little quieter.
I would't spend $1000+ or more for a Borla or any other system...(Ford wants $1700 for theirs).. when I can do it all for under $500. I think another guy here has used the E-bay seller too I'm extremely pleased and only needed to make one saw cut on a straight part behind the stock muffler where it goes up.
If you find the E-bay guy he says it comes with no instructions. Good Luck
Yea i was originally going to go with the borla xs pro muffler and have my buddy weld it on. The complete systems at $1000+ is a little steep. I know you get what you pay for. The touring system is definitely not loud enough for my taste. Sound isn't too much of a concern. I was on stage 3 motorsports site and saw the diamond ones and started looking into them. Mainly saw them listed in diesel forums. I found youtube clips and liked the sound.
I also had a Diamond Eye system on an older Cummins equipped Dodge pickup. It was 304SS and held up very well for many years, no regrets or complaints.

That was me, the kit is a knockoff of the Flowmaster American Thunder kit so you can just use those instructions if needed (they're online). I used a Flowmaster 50 SUV in place of the tiny "40 series" that comes with the kit.
If I had to do mine over again I would have just cut off after the stock resonator and go from there. Lots of drone when you eliminate the resonator, I put an aftermarket on one mine but it didn't do much, added a Patriot spiral insert and it's much more tolerable.
Diamond Eye, if it's like the ones I have seen is probably very similar to MBRP (straight through louvered core round case muffler).
yea i had a similar kit on my '95. The only problem I had was that the description said "Flowmaster" When i received the system it was a clear knock-off flowmaster in a flowmaster box. Wrote them and i had a "genuine" flowmaster in a few days. I actually wrote it wrong in my first thread. I meant to say I had flowmaster on the'95. I liked that knock off system so much i bought one from a different seller and got a magnaflow for the '07. Hated that muffler that's when I bought the MBRP.
ghunt, I knew it was you, I just don't mention names much. I too thought of putting back in the resonator but the pipe size is smaller leading into the res and out. I've considered a 3" glass back too; the two inserts right before the exhaust tips made mine OK after the Patriot spiral.
