I have a 1952 Ford F6 that was used by my Dad on our farm. The VIN is F6M2SP13340. I tried to upload a picture of the VIN plate but it wouldn't let me.
Here is the decoder from the LMC Truck catalog: Truck Parts and Truck Accessories
F6 - that's easy it's an F6
M - That should be engine code, but the choices are D, H, R
Oh, this decoder only goes to F4, but I would bet the rest works out.
2 - 1952
SP - St. Paul, MN plant
13340 - Production sequence number
The smart guys here will tell you what the M is for.
Oh, Welcome to FTE! Best place anywhere for Ford truck knowledge.
We love pictures, please satisfy our cravings.
What are your plans for the truck?
I have in the past been a member of the forum, had a 1972 F150. But, life got in the way and I sold the F150 and bought my uncles 62 Galaxie 500 XL. Was watching a Youtube video of a F5 that somebody rescued and started thinking about our F6. My brother sent me the picts last night after I posted, I uploaded some pictures, didn't realize they would be that big. We have moved it since these pictures were taken. Pumped up the tires and towed it next to my brothers barn. I live in WA and the farm is in MT, hope to move back there when I retire in a couple years. We did change the oil and cleaned the engine up and it fired right up after 30 years. The engine code is not the same as the engine that is in it. There is a flathead V8, my Dad told me one time it was a 292. The paint code lists the color as vermilion, but we can only find green on it, it was repainted in the mid 60's green over green.
A five star extra cab to boot . Guard the hood trim w/ your life . You will notice a hole in the upper door hinge to secure the mirror . Some pics of the interior please .The I6 hood nose trim is a rare item also . Not being reproduced .Passenger side sun visor & should have a lock on the drivers side ..Door panels should also be present .
What do you mean by a 5 star cab? I'll have to see if my brother has picts of the inside. I know if does have a passenger side visor. I'm in WA state and the truck is in MT.
I live Colfax and work in Pullman. Currently have the 52 Ford, it in MT. But, I also have a 62 Ford Galaxie 500 XL. I'll let you know when I get down that way.
anyone what the plant code might could be it’s hard to make out
I'm going to guess NR for Norfolk. Second guess could be MP for Memphis, but it doesn't look like there's enough room for an M there.
Is there a cab with that chassis? There should be a plate in the glove box with the same number on it that would be much easier to read.
