Can anyone tell me what carb this is and what would be a good replacement option. It's on a 400 engine. Thank you
E3TZ-9510-BS .. 2V Carburetor / ID tag number: E3TE-9510-BSA // Carb tune up kit: E3PZ-9A586-R (Motorcraft CT-1469) / Obsolete
Carb is not the original, it's from a 1983 F100/250/Bronco 302, F150/350/Bronco 351W
1975/79 2V's were Motorcraft 2150's that were also used on some 1980's. There are no carb application charts after 1979, so what else it was used on, will be difficult to determine.
What can I replace this one with? My truck has a 400 and when I pulled this carb off some of the hoses were blocked off for some reason. I am just looking to put a carb that will work on it.
The entire inside is rusted and there are missing parts on it. I would much rather put a brand new one on my truck then soak this in carb cleaner for a week to only get it halfway clean..
I have two Motorcraft 2150's and am happy overall, one on a 360, one on a 390 (I think)..
One I rebuilt myself, runs OK but need to get a vacuum gage to dial it in with my setup, The other I bought from O-Reilly's as a reman and it runs great right out of the box with some idle adjustment.
I have an Edelbrock 4 barrel I got that was shop rebuilt, have not had it running yet but I have heard good things. I cannot recall the model number.
One truck came with a Holley 4 barrel and it ran great until recently, suspect it needs a rebuild.
A reman 2150 is less than 300, a rebuilt Edelbrock is about the same. I have no experience with rebuilt Holley's, I think you are looking for 300 and under or are you willing to spend more?
I am just starting out myself with the FE motors. Take my humble advice or not, just thought I would give you my experiences.
