Inconsistent Turn over starting - folks so here is the deal.
When my car sits overnight and it drops to about 30 degrees....it will not turnover.
I tapped on the solenoid and it turned over, started no problem. Do you think it is the solenoid or is there a small chance it could be the coincidence of something else.
I did have to take out my ignition core several months ago. After I put it back in, it always rings, beeps as though I left the lights on.
I agree with alloro and Hamfisted above. If it is the 1999 Expedition with over 200,000 miles on it, I'd say swapping the solenoid is a good idea anyways.
