Okay so it turns out this truck has been run about a year ago, I did not know that. The tires are pretty flat, and it's in the woods enough I can't get to it with my car to try to jump it. So here's what's happening..
I turn the key to the ignition and a light to the left of the ignition comes on, but when I go to turn it over ABSOLUTELY nothing happens no click no nothing. However I can still turn the lights on, they work. I had a problem with a car I was hitting too much bass on and I burnt out the battery. The voltage was still fine at 12 volts, but it had no crank amps ( I found out). Could that be what's happening?
I popped open the distributor, the contacts look relatively clean, so I can imagine it being those...
Hopefully it just needs a new battery??
Also try replacing the starter solenoid after acouple years of my 64 not running I went to try starting it and had the same thing nothing but lights worked replaced the solenoid and it fired right up. Also clean or replace your battery connections at all ends and grounds

one way to test to see if its the solenoid is use a par of pliers and jump the two big terminals...just be ready for the sparks...did this to start my truck to get home when mine went out.
You can also use a test light to see if you get power to the solenoid when you are trying to crank, should be one of the two small terminals. if you dont have power while cranking at one of the small terminals then jump from the battery to i think the one on the left, or side the battery cable is on.
