I'm not sure how to hook up the tach. But I think you should get rid of the diesel. I think gasoline would be much better for what you want to do. I bet my 351 would do a lot better in the mud that your diesel. But I'm just a gasoline fan. If you are looking for a good mud terrain , go with buckshots.
