94 E150 running rough

New to me 94 with 5.8. 126 k. New plugs, wires. cap, rotor, fuel filter, air cleaner, and fixed a few vacuume
leaks. Good fuel pressure. Hesitation when accelerating and jerks at speed. What could I look at next?

Coil, and associated wiring. Check the connection to the coil, too.

Also possibly the distributor itself. The shaft bearings can wear out. How did the old rotor and cap look? Bad dizzy bearings can cause the rotor to make contact with the cap, and things get ugly at that point.

  • Make sure your TPS is within specs.
  • Check capacitors inside the computer to make sure they have not gone bad.

The cap and rotor didn't look real bad. I think I'll go to the TPS next. Thank you both for some direction.

found a code for open spout. Found the spout down under the battery nest to an old oil cap. Runs much better now for some reason. HHAHA
