Give us more information, Year, engine, mileage, symptoms etc. If you unplug the ICP on a 7.3 the PCM defaults to default settings, meaning the sensor and the pigtail is irrelevant. Typically in cold weather hard starts and rough idle is a combination of GPR and glow plugs not working properly AND a heavy weight oil being used as the oil warms the idle smooths out. Test your GPR and glow plugs. If you plug the truck in for 4-6 hours do the symptoms go away?

My truck is a late 04 F-350 6.0 with 186xxx miles. I have already replaced the icp sensor and worked like magic. However, the following day when I went for a cold start ( truck was plugged in ). It started with a very rough idle and I can feel the truck shake judt like the idle sounds. Will definitely replace the pig tail and hope for the best. Now, my concerns are leading the the ipr valve. Also, upon accelerating my exhaust has a high pithed skipping sound.
