Cold Idle Miss

I have an early 99 F450 with a 7.3. When I first start my truck up every morning, it misses really bad and the rpms won't go above 700 while idling. I remember my other truck used to cold idle at about 1000 rpms and gradually come down to about 680 as it warmed up. I'm thinking maybe a coolant temp sensor??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I agree, it's most likely a glow plug issue.

thanks for the help.........I've heard so many different ideas and I just wanted to see what the board thought. Ordering glow plugs tomorrow.

Before you order, check this thread. You have to pull the valve covers off to get at the glow plugs anyway.
