Hi, using Safari on my Mac I keep getting a Flash player update pop up needed which I researched and is in fact a malicious file of some type but I am only seeing this on this website so I was curious if others have seen the same thing?

using safari on MacBook Air and I only saw it on this website. I keep getting the Flash Player update pop up so download now and I just kept backing out till i was able to open this forum and then log in. only on this website.
Not having this issue on any other website either. Definitely not good. Flash player updates are notorious for bringing problems to your computer with them.
Is this just a MAC issue. It wouldn't be an issue if it was a PCO offer but it's not and I continue to get this garbage spyware advertisement. Aren't MAC supposed to be spyware free or no virus protect needed?

MAC used to be pretty impervious because only a tiny percentage of all the computers out there ran Mac OS...now there are more, so occasionally you'll find Malware out there written for Mac. This one apparently is because it's a .dmg file which wouldn't harm a Windows computer. Of course, you have to actually click on it to make it cause the problem. You'll likely won't ever get a Flash out of date warning that takes over the web page you are on...that's a key to let you know it's malicious.
