Hey guys I have a friend's 04 E350 with a V10 has a crank no start. I am kinda clueless on this engine since this is my first time working on one.
Friend tells me he was driving down the road at appx 50 mph and it died in flight. Pulled over to side of road and cranks but wont start. I hooked up with ids and pulled codes. Quite a few. B1352 ignition key in circuit fault. C1284 oil psi switch failure. B1360 ignition switch circuit open. B1607 illuminated entry input circuit failure. 5 codes for the instrument cluster. U1123, U1059, U1027, U1041 and U1262.
I also ran a network test and got this message. I did a fuel psi leakdown test and it had excessive psi drop. I checked the inertia switch and it has power. I checked fuel pump relay and it's good. Anyone have an idea? I did a tpS sweep test, checked cmp, IAC, I can see rpm. I'm just trying to help a guy out but don't really know this engine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
It seems that yea, there may be a problem with the leak down, but you have good fuel pressure. So why are you still thinking that fuel pressure is your issue? I'd be looking at the ignition system now. Maybe I'm missing something here.
Your leak down would cause a hard start, but that can be overcome by switching the ignition to on, letting the fuel pump pressurize the system then starting the van.
I'm just posting what I found. It seems like the pump is not supplying fuel when attempting to start. It acts like it wants to start once if I prime the fuel a few times before cranking then sputters and just cranks. I did put a new fuel filter on as the owner stated he has never changed it.
There is a 2nd fuse box that I can't locate besides the cjb in the engine bay. Anyone know where that thing is?

On the pickup it is under the dash on the driver's side. I'd look there or under the driver's kick panel.
This is a van. I checked under both kick panels and I can't locate it under the dash. Is it possible it could be behind a panel in the rear seating compartment?
I feel compelled to ask, are you sure that the starter motor is turning over the engine? Does the belt and fan move when the starter motor is engaged?
An engine must have fuel, air, & spark.
Checking spark is pretty easy, pull off a COP and connect it to a grounded spark plug and try to start the engine.
Look at the air filter. It isn't likely, but entirely possible that it sucked up a plastic bag that is smothering the filter. Check to be sure the whole intake tube is sealed from the MAF to the throttle body. Check for vacuum leaks.

From the owners manual page 149:
"Passenger compartment fuse panel
The fuse panel is located below and to the left of the steering wheel by the brake pedal. Remove the panel cover to access the fuses."
I'm going to guess that there is an issue with fuse 8 and/or the wiring or connections for the steering column. And there could also be multiple problems.
Update: I found the fuse box under the dash. It was buried behind some convoluted tubing so I couldn't see it at first glance. Fuse 8 is good along with all others in the box. New problem tho, now it won't crank at all. I will pull the ignition switch out and test it. Funny how that happened when i was moving wires around under the dash. I am thinking the aftermarket alarm which are usually tied into the switch has something to do with this mess.
Anyone have a wiring diagram for primary coil circuit? I think im either not getting enough voltage to the COP's or a bad ground somewhere. Guy told me that this van shakes really bad at highway speeds, so I'm also looking at grounds of which I can only see 1 so far, front of engine goes up to the top of the back side of the hood area. Whatever its called its really like a thin ribbon.
Under the hood in the same Power Distribution Box aka Battery Junction Box where the fuel pump relay lives there is a Maxi-Fuse for the actual fuel pump---has that been checked and/or replaced? In the BJB it would be fuse # 1.13 for your year and model.
Most of your described symptoms suggest no fuel to the injectors, at least to my limited knowledge thereof.
