I can now officially say I go on vacation next month!! It can't come soon enough.
My daughter has her new car and thank you Jesus. It didn't come without a fair amount of drama. Way too much to even try and explain on here. The daughter left the Suburban at her grandmother's house in town so we are going to get it on Saturday.
Busy day yesterday and it's going to be busy again today. They finished the level grading around the property so we have to throw grass seed and straw on it today. I have to put stock number stickers on what came in and then input it into inventory. The fence guy is way behind. He was supposed to be done yesterday but he doesn't even have half the poles up around the property. We were suppose to start getting tractors and equipment in next week so that might be be delayed. My business cards came in yesterday!!
They wired in the 2 post lift yesterday so now I just need put in hyd fluid and adjust the cables. We are getting there but still a long way to go.
You be in there sbout vacation time.
Pete what type tank are you looking for? The tank Chief mentioned that I found Craigslist is a 50 gallon transfer tank.
Jacob hang in there . Sometimes you do need to step away. Change you voice mail to a vacation response.
The grading contractor was suppose to show today but blew a tire on the trailer and could not find one. I had two helpers today . We got string on about a 95% of the property lines. Lot of walking carrying the little saw 18" bar at first. The chain got to the point we need to change it. I had 2 brand new chains left and could not find them. We had to switch to the big saw (24" bar). 5 ft 1/2" conduit to hold string up 3 lb hammer.
Finding a used L maybe hard. I did not see any on Craiglist. Try facebook marketplace , letgo , offer up. The problem with some is corrosion. Mine had that problem need to check it again.
They got the lift wired in on Friday, still need to get some hyd fluid and then adjust the cables. We also threw grass seed, fertilizer and then hand spread hay over the top of it, almost 3 acres of what will be grass. It took all day with everyone working on it but it's finally done. The fence guy has most of the poles set and concreted in. Once the fence guy is done we have to plant trees to try and hide the retention pond around the back of the building, that's going to be a ton of fun. On Friday I got about 1/3 of the new equipment done with inventory control stickers, I will try and finish that up tomorrow. Once the fence guy is done we can put the equipment and inventory on the display racks and shelves, right now we are afraid someone will do a smash and grab on the store if we do.
We went and got the Suburban from the mom in-laws house yesterday. My wife insisted we take it to thru the car wash and then she helped me vacuum and clean the inside. It rides so good I really did miss driving it. I do need to replace the ac compressor on it before it gets hot. The compressor still works but is worn out and it doesn't blow as cold as it should. I really love the Lightning but not as a daily driver. With the Suburban back I can also start work on the front suspension and I think I am also going to install new brake pads and rotors all the way around.
Was suppose to start grading yesterday. The contractor had a blow out on the way. He could not find a tire. Have not heard from him, which is not normal.
i finished the candleholder

I suck at woodwork, that looks good Hugh!
I completely detailed the Suburban, the Hummer and the Maserati this weekend. They really needed a good early spring cleaning. Next weekend I want to work around the outside of the house. New pine straw in the flower beds is a must and whatever I can think of over the week. Getting ready to watch the big game and eat some wings!!

I got all the Stihl special tools we received inventoried, assigned a shelf location and put on the shelves. I also had to do a spreadsheet for inventory control. There are more special tools coming just for Deere equipment so that was just the start. I got almost all the lawn equipment labeled with inventory stickers and I will finish that up this morning. Current plan is to open on Friday the 15th with a grand opening planned for later on. My wife ordered me a name plate with a card holder to go on my desk. She is so great!
Took the wife fishing Sunday. I swear she loves it more than I do. Got to go back to Tire Kingdom again (can't check the air in the inner duals). Glad it's finally warmed up alittle, Spent most of yesterday working in the yard. Thanks for the info hturner, I am going to order this tank next month.
Pete hold off I may have found you an L. My grading contractor knows someone that has 3. Hopefully know tommorow.
chief sound like you are staying busy.
after 3 days of trying to get a blow out on his 9000 finally mnade it out to my place.
If it not taking fuel, there is another tube inside the fill hose. I think it add one type air device. A lot people take them out ot shorten them. I you dont mind moving you spare tire you can get a 38 gsl. Legally the transfer tank can not be connected to the truck fuel system
The P/O just took the fill tube out and plumbed the auxiliary tank directly into the front tank. I don't know how long its been open so drop and clean just to be on the safe side.
