I am doing the same thing from camera-source.

Have to get some time. I have tested it. Looks good.
I bought the Navtv box to allow all cameras while in motion
I installed the optional aux camera on our slide-in truck camper and truck. The kit includes LONG cables and a replacement socket assembly for the 7-pin trailer plug and the extra camera (see below). The extra camera plugs into this new socket, and you lose the 4-pin socket.
This optional camera kit requires the Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera system.
I have the factory camera system, and yes, you just push the auxiliary button on the screen when in reverse. It’s quite nice really. That one you linked is not the Ford system, so I don’t know how that one will operate. From the sounds of it in the description, it mocks the factory system.
As was mentioned, the factory one also includes a replacement for the 7/4 Pin connector that changes it to a 7/12 pin. The linked kit doesn’t have that part shown. It looks more like that kit is meant to be an add-on to the factory kit if you have more than 1 trailer and wanted a second camera for a second trailer.

the linked kit doesn't provide that direct connection.. they do provide an additional kit that does provide a truck and trailer side socket and a stretchy cable in between, so the connection is in the bed, not on the bumper.
the truck side connection is the same 12 pin plug under the spare tire, The camera connection itself is a 4 pin screw on bayonet type connector.
I ordered the 64ft cable as my 5th is 40 ft long. I need to drill the hole for the cable and fish it from under the rear cap on the drivers side..
then u push the aux view button on the camera views screen

where did u mount your camera? i have a big back window and above that is the trailer brand logo, so I think in the window surround area is better...(red circle)

Ah, ok, so it just uses the same connector that the factory replacement plug uses.

Looks like as good a spot as any, that rear cap is going to be a pain to deal with either way. I didn't have a window to deal with, so mine was installed just under my lights, above the logo, and then run inside the trailer through the kids's bunks. I've got photos of it installed over here:
My understanding is with the 249.00 kit, you can get 1 of 3 different cable lengths (same price regardless I need the longest 64ft one) and it plugs directly into the empty dummy plug located by the spare tire. That plug off the truck just has a plastic cap plug on it, and is only on trucks with the ultimate tow camera 360 option which my truck will have. My truck is set for delivery on 2/19 hopefully!!!
