I had to replace the fuse panel under the steering column because it had a faulty fuel pump relay. I used a panel I got from Ebay and had to solder some fuse prongs to make the new panel match the old.
Now the truck runs fine without stalling (so far), but I lost my starting circuit. I ran a jumper wire to the solenoid on the starter to get it going for now. But I'm at a loss as to how to find the fault. All the fuses and relays are good when tested with a meter. The entire truck works as it should, just doesn't start unless I jump the starter manually. Any ideas?
Do you still have your original fuse panel?
It can be rewired to use an externally mounted and easily replaced fuel pump relay with higher amp rated contacts.
I've not been in one of these, but is there a chance you bent/broke a pin when re-installing? I'd start at the starter and work my way back, checking all connections and wire serviceability. Might just be able to hit it with a continuity test to make sure connections and wires are all good and find it.
