Bluetooth Problems

I am having a huge issue with my bluetooth on a 2019 F350. I am wondering if anyone else is having the issue. The sound coming from my built in mic to a person i am talking to is almost unidentifiable and they just hear garbly goop when i am going more than 35-40 mph. I have tried different phones, they changed out the built in microphone. Problem still exists. Anyone use their phone in their truck all day and have issues with people understanding what they are saying?

No problems with mine. The speaker phone over bluetooth is nice and clear.

Once connected, to a phone call, press the volume plus (+) on the steering wheel controls, you will see it increase the volume on the Sync 3 this is the volume for the Mic, and the Speakers when on bluetooth. The trick is to catch it and increase it on a call, then it will stay at that level. When your doing this, all windows up, sunroof closed ect. You should get better sound that way. If not, then I would consider having the dealer examine under warranty. My 2017 is great, I can hear very well, and no issues with others when connected.

I should clarify. this is my 4th truck. I'm not new to bluetooth. this one is just SUPER noisy to the callers i am talking to. in the truck everything is great. What they hear on their end is unacceptable. And yes the windows are up, sunroof is closed and i am driving in a metropolitan area with 4 bars of 4g signal. Just trying to see if anyone else hears a lot of "HUH" or "What did you say" from the people they are talking to daily.

I'd say mine is clearer using the trucks mic over bluetooth then if I tried to use the phone's built in speakerphone. I love how well mine works.

Mine works really well, what setting on Bluetooth sound on the phone are you on. Turn It up higher and talk normal, turn it down and talk louder. See what makes a difference. Mine has always been super good. I a, wondering if something is connected poorly or disconnected for you to have this issue. Go to the dealer and get them to address, have them pick up a call from your truck and see what they say. It definitely sounds counter to my experience. To the point where working from home, I will actually do a t-con from my truck if the home speaker phone is dead. We only have 3G around here, amd often only 1bar signal.

No problems with mine. You should get it back to the dealer and have them keep working on it. They may have to replace the entire unit, not just the microphone. It sounds like it is probably much deeper than just the mic.

I have a similar problem with the bluetooth in my 2017 F350. The problem started with the previous ios update.

My F350 has the same problem and always has! Ford knows it exist and replaced the API. The problem still exist after 4 times to the service department. They are now frustrated because they don’t have a code to follow. I’ve found out from several people they also have the same problem. It’s not the iPhone, android or any of my equipment! I know computers and I.T. Equipment. I called the manufacturer and they have given me a case number. They need a diagnosis, but the dealership has no clue. It used to be intermittent, now it’s over 75% of the time. Has anyone found a resolve? I wonder if this 75k truck falls under the “Lemon Law?” 😉
