Question Highmounted Brake Light is Out

Vehicle: 1997 Ford Explorer XLT.

Problem: How do you change out the bulbs for the highmounted brake lights with this model? The problem is that I believe the unit is all one system and may not need replacement bulbs, but may need to be replaced altogether.

FYI: The 1997 Explorers have the long highmounted brake light.

If anyone has had any experience with this, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

I think you are right. I believe that is an all LED setup. Only one way to tell and thats to remove it and look for a bulb panel. If its not there then time to get the whole whammy. Be sure to check the circuit first however.
