Has anyone gotten the message "The USB device requires to much power. Please remove," when plugging your Iphone into the USB port. I started getting the message every time I try to plug my phone in so I can't even use the SYNC system at this point.
Are you using the Apple USB cord? Aftermarket USB cords do not play well with the ford USB on occasion well documented. If not try it. If you are then I have no idea.
Have you done a recent software update to Sync? The newest software has some bugs for some owners. Mine latest Sync update will not remember (on occasion) that I was listening to blue tooth and then will revert to AM or FM. Old version of Sync never did this.

Yes I just had the APIM replaced (brain for Sync3) 2 days ago mine worked (Sync3) perfectly for 5 months before going nuts. This may be the start of issues hope not but try the Apple cable just to make sure.

My older iPod resulted in the same message when I plugged it in. I moved it to the other media port and it worked fine.
Go figure.
Definately try a new high quality cable. Depending on use, how they are plugged and unplugged they get weak, start to broken around the connectors. If this doesn’t work, it’s possible the plug is having issues, in which case the dealer needs to address for warranty.
