I know. Kind of stunning actually. It really doesn't pencil out, and either the 2.7EB or the 3.5EB are equal or better in terms of performance. Around here, diesel fuel is about 20% more expensive than regular gas. It would take a lot of economy driving to catch up to that.
Thats one of the reasons I’m looking at it. It will easily pay for itself in two years for me with my yearly mileage if I only get 28mpg. After driving one, I could really enjoy the ride. I’m not really one who needs to blast to the next light, and my trailering needs are barely 5,500#.
Thanks for the results of your ride!
The MSRP on ^^^^^^this truck is about 11K higher than on my daughter's 2018 XLT 302A with identical cab configuration. SMDH.
With 6000 miles on the clock, she's overall averaging 21 MPG's. I'm heading out for work so I don't have the time to figure the difference. Perhaps someone could help me in my absence.

Thank you.
Is a Lariat, and bring some extras maybe that’s why is 11k more but at the end they are dropping 12k off
Your average speed for that trip was way to slow to tell us much. Give us some data on a long trip at highway speeds
Although 169 miles in 5 hours pencils out to about 33 MPH, I'm betting there was a stop or two along the way, which probably distorts the actual speed driven.

Not a long trip, I drive 40 miles mixed city and Hwy in like an hour to one of my business everyday, is my second tank. On Hwy I try to keep it at 75mph
You are wrong. I do get like 10 miles daily bumper to bumper on I95 here in Miami. Guys I don’t have to lie. I don’t even know any of you. I backed up with pics what my truck is doing. I just finished second tank and end up at 29.3 mpg, 733 miles per tank of 25.1 gallons I filled.
