Can you say DIRT BAGS!!!!
Last night my wife and I went out to celebrate my birthday with a nice dinner and returned to our hotel around 7:00 to 7:30. This morning I go out at 11:05 to strat my truck so we can go to church to have unusual noise from my truck exhaust along with a “Reduced Engine Power” and super obnoxious audible alarm.
This is what I found when I looked under my truck;
They em took everything from the Y pipe to the axle.
And don’t anyone say I should just delete. This was done to replace a deleted system so someone can trade their truck in. And this happened in Edmonton Alberta.
First tailgates and now entire exhaust. This is only gonna get worse.

‘Five to ten minutes with the vibration of a sawzall and the noise echoing through the exhaust…and you’re doing something illegal trying not to get caught that’s a significant time investment. With battery operated tools unfortunately they can make quick work, same issue with wheels. I’d wait a couple days and see if local dealerships have taken in trades of your year truck. Might be worth a quick look maybe you’ll notice the hack job on the trade in...

My friend has his catalytic converter stolen from his truck while it was parked in his driveway. They unbolted it and removed it quietly. He had it replaced with an OEM unit (insurance paid). Next week, it was stolen again. Insurance replaced it again but this time they welded it in place.

Cats have platinum or other rare earth metals, the tweakers get $25 or $50 from a scrapyard, we get $1500 insurance claims and then everybody's rates go up who live in that zip code. Anytime you hear somebody say "Well that's what insurance is for" to excuse criminals like it's no big deal, they need to get smacked. It's a really big deal. They keep statistics on that, crime always means higher insurance rates, no way around it.
