Toyo backs down Chebby
Chevy has had some commercial on claiming 'Best Reliabilty'. Apparently it's technically true, but they were very careful about what data they used -- something I guess they neglected to mention.
Toyo called them on it and the commercial is now history. Sorry, I don't have the reference.

Not just Toyo. All the major manufacturers complained. The survey was by a private consumer survey company hired by Chevy. The survey was also for MY 2015 cars, and all the cars/trucks shown in the Chevy ad are new or heavily revised since 2015 MY. So apples to oranges.
Also, the independent survey companies like Consumer Reports and JD Powers all put Chevy in the bottom 25% in reliability.
Finally, the ad agency recruits its "real people" from the Los Angeles area. Guest who lives in the Los Angeles area? Maybe a lot of out of work actors?
