Chevy Commercial

Found a thing on the internet about the chevy commercial that aired during the Super Bowl. As a result of that commercial Ford sales increased and chevy declilned.

Could it be this one?

Chevy Silverado "2012" | Super Bowl XLVI Ads | Chevrolet Commercial - YouTube

Where Chevy bashes Ford stating that ''Dave'' was killed in the apacolypse because he drove a Ford instead of a Chevy.

Either way doesn't suprise me that GM is losing sales at this point...Compared to what Ford is offering now and what Dodge is going to be offering in the next year or so, their trucks are starting to look pretty pathtic by comparison.

The only thing they have going for them now is the blind loyalty of the fanboi's who long for the days when GM actually made a decent truck. That's why the majority of their commercials now use catch phrases like ''Chevy runs deep'' or they just blantly bash another brand (Usually Ford). However they don't give any statistical proof that their trucks are superior to Ford or Dodge.

They better have a miricle ready to pull out of their *** for their next generation Silverado. Otherwise they might just sink themselves...Again.

I don't really get how that dumb *** commercial is hurting sales. I'd recon that Ford is hurting GM's sales.

always thought ford should of had a commercial of Dave in a space ship with the aliens probing his truck and every time they try-ed to probe it there tools brake.

PS. the ,aliens should be smoking hot girls and all of them falling in love with .................................
the truck and even Dave

You could see where that commercial was going from a mile away. I'm not one that cares for negative sales campaigns. Where did you read it affected sales?

The web site is Sitemap - Autoblog

General Motors took dead aim at the Ford F-150 during the Super Bowl by airing a spot for the Chevrolet Silverado. The ad featured a post-apocalyptic scene where only Silverado owners survived the end of the world and Ford customers were left to fade into the fossil record. Interestingly enough, however, the spot may not have had the intended effect of pushing more eyes toward GM products.

According to TheCarConnection.com, the ad may have benefited Ford more than Chevrolet. Kelley Blue Book keeps an eye on which vehicles visitors to the site are interested in, and Ford saw an immediate uptick directly after the GM commercial aired. Ford didn't have a big Super Bowl ad this year.

That wasn't all. Ford continued to see a swell in shopping in the days after the Super Bowl. Interest in the Silverado, meanwhile, rose slightly when the ad aired before leveling off during the remainder of the game and falling shortly thereafter. Interest in the F-150, meanwhile, continued to surge. According to TheCarConnection.com, the F-150 saw a greater boost in shoppers week over week while the Silverado fell off by 25 percent. Turns out Ford shouldn't have been so upset about the spot after all. Click past the jump to see the ad one more time.

Right now, GM has old truck technology in build quality and engines. They just don't offer the features Ford and even Ram offer, and GM can't come out with a new truck fast enough. To me, the commercial looks like a desperate try to make them look good. GM trucks are the longest lasting because the owners always seem to be replacing parts, engines and transmissions on the weekends, while us Ford owners are using our trucks. Hows that for a commercial!

I think the Ford F150 has been number 1 in sales for some 30+ years. It looks like the trend will continue.....

Notice both Dodge and Chevrolet target the Ford F series trucks. The Ford add's only show what they have. No cheap shots at the competition. Its great to be king!

That's a good call. Ford has typically done this while the others have resorted to the negative adds.
