2012 FX4 - 5.0 I remember this happening before but dont know what I did to clear up or if cleared up on its own.
My truck has factory Electric start.....lately its not working. I remember I think before once I started it and drove it a bit it started working again? I think...is there a way to "reset" it..as has always worked well but not right now.......Thanks for any input
Hmmm I thought I had it...as I just went out and tried it......it worked once....shut off went to try again get the 2 lights and nothing again...so it seems to be off and on I will have to look into it more and will search around a bit for a answer. Hmmm funny
no check engine...seems to work on this weekend with cold weather and snow storm here in Western NY...
will check the hood switch.....
does not give any warning flashes after pressing the start button twice........but its all good info...will check that hood latch...its always something easy so.......atleast some times.
ok I think I know for sure now hood switch.... as it flashes Twice after trying to start........when "loose" do mean just that loose and needs tightening in its mounting hole..and ground out in side or something as it just jiggle that thing so works something but not others.
I checked for sure after I tried yesterday and I noticed the 2 flashes after and it made me think....this is an error "code" I think.
Either the door is ajar or the hood latch is up, mine actually had a zip tie holding the hood plunger down when I bought the truck, took the zip tie off and bent it up a little and it worked fine.
