Coolant Loss

I replaced my upper and lower radiator hoses 6 or 8 months ago but I am still losing coolant. It does not puddle on the ground anywhere. It was suggested to me to check the thermostat and I am going to do that tonight. If I had a cracked radiator I would have thought it would be puddling beneath the truck. Any other suggestions where I can look or a thought of where I am losing coolant. Oil is clean and not smoke from the tail pipe. 08 F250 Job 1 truck with 150k miles that has been tuned and deleted since about 5k miles. Had to add about 4 gallons which if I understand it correctly is about half of the coolant which is disturbing considering it has only been 6-8 months since I know it was completely full.

Thanks in advance.

Replace the degas bottle cap.

Was mysteriously loosing coolant in a Taurus; turned out to be the cap had gone bad

Sorry meant to say that there is not residue on the overflow bottle. Also I changed the cap 2-3 years back just as a precaution because I read that the factory Ford ones are not the best............ That may or may not be true.

Coolant loss on a 6.4

a) is it leaking to the environment directly. Any evidence of ground or chasis wet spots. Hoses, o rings, coolant pump seals, etc.

b) is it leaking from the coolant pump into the oil case thru cavitation. Check oil levels

c) is it leaking from head gaskets, cylinder walls , heads into the combustion system thru cracks , etc. check emissions for coolant evidence

d( is it leaking into the combustion system via the egr system. Check emissions for coolant evidence. Be careful with this one...hydro locks ng could break a piston rod.

now, what’s the rest of the story...why did you previously replace hoses and when you did that did you vacuumed out all the air in the cooling system to get all the air entrapment out.

Thanks for the reply. See my responses below.
A. No signs of water on the ground or on hoses/in engine bay.
B. The oil is clean and if there was 4 gallons of coolant going into the crank case I sure would think that my oil would look like chocolate milk.
C. If the head gaskets were blown I would think that the truck would smoke, not run well, have water come out the overflow tank and have water in the oil. Mine does none of these.
D. If it was making its way into the combustion chamber through the EGR then I would have the same items mentioned in C right?

I changed the hoses because I did have a leak at the lower hose, I went ahead and replaced both. No I did not vacuum out the system but I did get between 7-8 gallons back into it which I believe is the capacity. I just let it run with the overflow cap off and just added more water when it got low.

I am going to install the "Venturi Tee" tonight which if I understand correctly is supposed to help with coolant loss. My question about this is, for those of us without the Venturi Tee where is the coolant going?

I took mine to a dealership to get diagnosed and they tole me the turbo up pipes are cracked and the hot air is melting the heater hose and essentially evavporating the coolant that leaks out before it reaches the ground my only question is can i replace them without pulling the cab?
