backup camera fix¿

hi guys/gals I have a 2008 f350 lariat my backup camera recently stopped working and iv noticed at the same time the compass stopped working on the dash aswell. are these connected somehow¿ for the backup camera iv checked the fuse, wires going into rearview mirror and connections at the back of the truck by the spare tire. im running out of things to check any idea guys¿ Thanks.

went to orileys and had the compass and camera work once. then out agin. is there a set of wires I should look for maybe under the dash?

my backup camera screen kept turning blue. Might have been just lucky but it turned out to just be the plug at the taligate. Once i secured it with a zip tie, it works great. Wouldn't stay connected on its own even though the connector looks nearly new.
