I have this windshield washer tank ( of unsure origin ~ the motor has two black wires one wire has a blue line down it ```

My question is if I hook the wires wrong to test ~ pos + to ground ~ and ~ neg- to positive ~ will it run backwards or burn the motor ??????

Just like most dc motors it will just run in reverse. The blue stripe should be the negative.

I'll take a ride into town to get some washer fluid ~ I've stripped the wires so I can poke them in temporary ~ for a quick test ~ and see if it works ~ happy to meet you buddy ```

I was up in the Sierras working on Sunday. Talk about traffic! Also as you probably already know but the Scott 1000 TP is too short to use these days but Frantz sells the correct filter on their website. I still have a few engines running 50 year frantz filter units.
