Hi All, Sorry for probly a dumb ??, but is there a easy way to remove the PCM.. I did it like ten years ago and I kinda remember having to remove the park brake peddle and it was a real pain to access.
Reason for removing is I did a engine swap a couple months ago, Truck had a 95 PSD and I installed a 97 PSD. Truck still has the PCM from the 95 and it runs ok, but I have a couple small power issues. I do have the PCM from the 97 motor and want to swap and see if that corrects my issues Thanks In Advance...
But that wasn’t the question. The question was how to remove the pcm and there is no need to remove the e-brake to remove the pcm. If he would have asked how to remove a chip the I would still say remove the pcm. No point in fighting with that small hole to save a few minutes worth of work. If the cable is touted correctly that won’t be a issue
