Hello to all.
well it may be a dumb question but I really do not know. I am considering to buy a 1988 F250 with the 7.3, with 137,000 miles on. I did do some research and found out about the need to care for the cooling system.
OK my question is there any way to tell if the cooling system has been cared for or not? What would I look for or check?
You can ask the PO how he maintained it. If he starts a speech about test strips and SCA's or Fleetcharge, he probably took care of it. Its pretty rare for a block to go bad from cavitation. If there are no signs similar to a blown head gasket, I wouldnt worry about it.
