Brass compression fittings are more of a permanent type repair. Hose is going to need maintenance eventually.

Ok thanks, I was leaning toward brass compression fittings, but wanted to make sure first

Why not use flare fittings?
I am sure the trany side uses flare and when the lines are removed from the trany the lines will have flares.
Get some lines with flares and 2 couplings to join them together.

Back in the late 60's early 70's AMC used rubber hose with threaded ends to go between the lines and the radiator.
I guess they were thinking there was movement between the lines & radiator and to keep from the lines or radiator leaking they used the threaded hose.
I would think if you wanted to use rubber hose hove a shop make them up as that would be better than slipping the hose over the line and using clamps.
