c6 fluid -help-
someone please tell me what trans fluid to use in my 78 c6. ive heard mercon 2. i like type f cuz it shifts better. will it hurt it? will mercon 3 work? i dont see mercon 2 anywhere at the stores but mercon 3 is cheap. please answer only if your sure, i dont want to hurt my daily driver. thank you...

check your dipstick
usually printed on the stick
my c6 that came out of a 83 e150
says dextron
when I put it in my 76 e150 I did a complete drain and refill with a shift
kit
refilled with type F and it works great
