it seems to be a new part from Reese as it wasn’t there a week ago . I did find it finally on the website but no one around here has it available yet . It seems just like the kit for the 16s and under but without the gooseneck middle portion. It can be added though .. now to just find one lol

Try this...

I tried the same internet searches of the same dealers everyone else is trying... no joy!

I started calling my Ford dealer every so often to see if they had one or would order it. If they did not I would ask if anyone in the area might have one.

On more than one occasion they told me of a dealer inside the state of Texas that would have one or two on hand. Unfortunately those dealers would already have someone in line for it. I followed up with calls every time.

Today I called my dealer and they gave me the name and number of another dealer that had one in stock. I called that dealer about availability. “Yessir! I can sell you this one!” I drove about 20 miles and had to pay full price, but it’s laying in the back of my truck right now.

I have been told more than once by more than one dealer that when they can get them they’re not for sale to other dealers because they know they can sell them.

YMMV. It sure worked for me.

Okay so spoke with Reese today and Product # 30886 is a good number but it has not even begone being produced. They stated at least another month for these to get out into the distributors . I also spoke with Ford Parts Giant which stated they had it available but they are just a third party company . I placed an order and will find out if that is true or not. Its more than buying it at the dealer but I was just told by the dealer that it could be up too six months due to that part being a nationwide outage. Ill post back with what happens with FPS.

So all in all my Ford original order that was cancelled by them came in the mail yesterday and I also have one down in Louisiana which I will be picking up either this weekend or next week that could not be canceled. So if anyone near Savannah Ga or from there too Louisiana needs one let me know as I will have one of them for sale at cost which is right at 600.00. Just let me know.. These are the Ford OEM part HC3Z5F057B

I think I got one of the last HC3Z5F057B kits in New England. I had to drive an hour to Webster, MA to get it. What they told me is that the manufacturer of this kit has raised the price to Ford such that Ford can't offer the kit at a competitive price anymore so Ford is hunting around for a new vendor. Hopefully this doesn't mean a part produced overseas--I'm glad I got one of the last USA-made ones.

My kit came with instructions for the bracket, but not for the wiring harness. Does anyone have instructions, and specifically measurements for where to cut the hole in the side of the bed for the wiring harness?
