Efi conversion fuel pump

So I am looking to put a Holley Sniper EFI on my 78 F100 302 and I’m trying to find the easiest way to add a fuel pump. I know I want to do an in tank fuel pump but would like to keep it as simple as possible, without costing an arm and a leg. After researching it my first thought was to go with a Tanks inc. retrofit kit. However my question to you all is, can’t I just add a walbro pump with a tray attached to the original pickup and accomplish the same thing? My issue is I have no problem modifying a tank, I’m buying a new one for the project reguardless, but if I don’t have to modify I know I won’t have any leaking/moisture issues which seemed to be one of the main issues others had. Let me know what you think. Thanks, DJ.

I have been doing research also. I don't see any reason you can't modify your new tank. I'm not sure what your tank looks like. In my wife's 68' F250 the tank is behind the seat, no way of putting an in tank pump in that one. I wonder if the fox body pump setup would work?
