I've got an '84 Bronco that has the 1bbl 300-6 and I just picked up a EFI 300-6 out of a '95 F-150 and I'm going to put it in the Bronco.
Now i've got all the wiring off of the truck that was attached to the motor but I didn't get the fuel system stuff. I plan to get the fuel lines as far as they go back which is either to the front tank or past (I didn't look that close).
Now, can I use an EFI pump in the original tank from my '84?
if not is there a way I can purchase an after market pump and still use the stock tank?
OR, do i need to get a tank and pump for the newer bronco with EFI??
I know thats a bit confusing but please bear with me.
If I remember right, the opening in the stock tank is too small to fit a factory style fuel pump in it. So yes, you will have to get an aftermarket pump to make it work with the EFI setup you want. Just mount it close to the tank because those electric pumps push fuel better than they pull it.
