Speedometer display delay
77 F250 400 automatic truck that has a delay in the speedometer display. PO had transmission rebuilt and the speed indicator is off between 3 MPH at low speed to 10 mph at 65 and higher MPH. I am not too concerned with that. However, what does aggravate me is during warm months the speed does not immediately indicate the speed. It starts after 15 minutes ( or possibly after the tranny warms up) or so. In the winter (Florida) it may take much longer because of the cold. Solutions? Causes? Remedies? Thanks. Merry Christmas.

I doubt that the issue is with the tranny. Most likely your cable is failing or the speedometer mechanism is sticky. See post 19 here for picture https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...en-some-2.html
