Why doesn’t Ford have self adjusting headlights on their trucks as an option? I’ve owned numerous Lexus and Toyota’s with the option and they are great. My Lexus even turns headlights right or left when going around a curve or turning into a driveway.
When i I hitch my 14000 lb 5th wheel the rear drops 3” causing headlights to blind oncoming cars. I don’t want to go with airbags
would be a nice feature. That said - anyone have a quick formula to adjust lights when towing? i.e. X full turns of the screw (CW or CCW) for X amount of headlight drop?
I lowered the back of my 2019 F250 2" and I had to go 3/4 of a turn clockwise to lower the halogen headlights enough. You can have someone stand out in front of the truck and notice where the headlights shine on them, then hitch up and lower your lights to match that point. Write it down next to the adjuster and you will have a manual not automatic headlight adjuster feature. I think there are already enough gizmos on these fancy trucks.
Yeah it's crazy that a 17 year old BMW has them but not my 2019 truck that seriously needs them. Not to mention the truck won't lock itself after a certain time. Lame

I guess that's a matter of opinion...I would be bummed coming back to my truck after it kept locking the doors. My truck will be in the pits at off road races for several days while several different people get tools and supplies out of it. We can all lock it even if I'm not around and they can use the space age key pad to get it open again. That's fancy enough for me.

But wouldn't it be nice to have that as an option? My CTSV allows me to set it from 30 secs, 5 mins, 10 or off. Pretty nice and simple to do.
Love that feature on my V too. I think it'd be a great option on these trucks, especially for those of us towing heavy off and on.
I would welcome the auto adjusting headlights. That would be a very good feature to have, but I can see it being an expensive addition if it was a standard feature. Include it as part of the towing package.
If you do decide to adjust your headlights, be careful. I snapped one adjuster and the dealer snapped the other trying to adjust mine. Both were replaced under warranty as they were seized and unable to be adjusted. It took a while as they had to send pictures to have it approved and then order them in as my dealership didn't stock them. The LED headlights are quite expensive. Overall it was about a week that I was in a loaner.
My 2011 regular old Tundra had adjustable headlights from a dashboard potentiometer, just scroll up or down to move the headlights up and down. Toyota is pretty good on quality of life features.
