What gaskets are needed when studding a 6.0? I have my head gaskets, exhaust manifold gaskets, intake gaskets, changed stc fitting and the O-rings involved with that, What others do I need to get?
I resealed the injectors, started to do the top o rings on them and the nipple cup rings but the nipple cups seemed tight so I left them alone. I'd make sure the nipple cups are straight as hell when putting the oil log back on. The hhc socket aligns them straight for installation.
I had high mileage on my 2005 re-usable gaskets (valve cover, intake, ect.) so I bought the Felpro kit. The kit also came with the rocker box o-rings which I dont see on your list. The kit also comes with a full set of injector re-seal kit and an oil cooler seal set. Head gaskets are not in the kit, they are separate and offer 18 or 20mm dowel size (dowels not included).
Other considerations are manifold bolt kit, Rocker retainer clips, New Motorcraft pushrods, Belts, Motorcraft Glowplugs, glowplug harnesses, Cam/Crank sensors, Y-pipe (inspect flex joints), Y-pipe flange bolts and new lock nuts.
That's all I can think of right now. It might seem alot but it will all either be coming off anyways or will be accessible while the heads are off. There are other wear items too such as water pump which I also replaced along with fan clutch.
Majority of these parts after shopping around I found on Amazon and were genuine Motorcraft. I also used the ARP upper bolts for the heads but are not really necessary.
