I installed the full kit today, and I am impressed. The camper hardly moves at all. Feels like it is set on concrete blocks all around. You have to experience it, but I highly recommend them, or any kit like them. Well worth it!
I used self tapping hex head bolts just like the ones the manufacturer used on my camper. Just run 'em in using a drill with socket. So technically, no drilling required, but holes do need to be made somehow.
Here something from the inside on those things. I met with the manufacturer when they first came out at the Las Vegas dealer show and they had two new items, the strong arms and an electronic device that told you how low what side or end of the RV was. They said they weren't expecting much interest at all in the strong arms, but expected their new electronic gizmo to really take off. Man, did they get that one wrong.
I have them on mine as well. They work good, just don't forget to release them before raising.
I had them on my last trailer with electric landing gear. If they are properly tightened down, they'll blow the fuse on the landing gear if you forget to loosen them.
I've also got them on my current trailer with Bigfoot hydraulic legs. The Bigfoot wins the battle if you forget to loosen them - I've got one that is slightly bent because I forgot to loosen it before raising the hydraulic legs.
But in both cases, they are well worth the money. Got rid of my three legged pin stabilizer and never missed it.
Just got done installing a complete set of JT Strongarms on my 2012 Jayco. All I can say is WOW! A world of difference, hardly any movement/shake what so ever. I have tried many different types of stabilizers, and these are by far the best!
Same here, installed them when we first got the 5th wheel in '13, I did however drill holes and install 5/16" bolts and added the JT Elephant feet. As said, the rig doesns't move a bit, very much worthwhile.
I just purchased a set while I was down in the USA. Much cheaper than up in Canada. Thank god for google cause there are different sizes depending on how far apart your landing gear is.
However, nothing anywhere on the box tells you that you will need adapters for rear electronic landing gear. Except in the installation manual. And the guys at the place I bought it were useless (First guy I talked to said whats a JT strongarm).
It says it allows the landing gear to fully retract. I don't care if it sits down a little bit. Does anyone here have them installed without the brackets?

If I am reading the description right, the pads replace your existing OEM pads and then give you a mounting point for the Strong Arm bracket which also allows for the leg to be fully retracted? I only ask because I don't see this piece in any of the other pictures posted above.
I am building my "must have" list for our soon to be purchased new to us 5th wheel.
If you look closely at rdlouks second picture you can see that the pin for the foot pads has been raised and the pin for the Strongarms is lower, where the original pin used to sit.

Just a quick followup on the JT Strongarms. We have the Fiver on the road and have been to a few different campgrounds, here are a couple observations I have with them.
1. With the exception of putting it on a block foundation, you will not find a better product to stabilize your RV.
2. Very easy to operate, a couple wheel chocks for safety, level your unit lock the arms, done! No more kingpin bi-pods/tripods, tandem axle wheel locks, or countless other products claiming to stabilize your RV.
The only thing that I will be changing is turning the two arms that go across the front so that the locking bolt is facing down instead of up to give a little extra clearance when stowed/traveling.
I have attached a couple pictures of us setup. A couple wheel chocks for safety and the JT Strongarms.
